What are dreams? Dreams can be simply classified as night visions. Dreams are no different than the revelatory gifts "word of wisdom and word knowledge." God uses dreams to comminucate His will to whomever he pleases. Every human has the abillity to dream. However, there is a difference between the dream of the believer and the dream of the non believer. Believers can dream prophetic dreams and non believers can not. The non believer can not receive knowledge and wisdom from the Lord via dreams. Before this door can open, one must first open the door to recieve Christ as Lord. The only requirement to flow in any gift is DESIRE. The Holy Spirit is ready to give you the gifts (1 Cor. 14:1), the question is do you have the desire.

Four Categories of Dreams

There are four categories of dreams:

I. Healing

Healing dreams come as there is a shift in your templates. What is a template you might ask. Templates are reactions to circumstances in life. If you get burned by fire, everytime you see fire you will remember what happened when you got burned and the sight of it may be controlling. Healing dreams come to shift the templates that have become controlling in your life. For example, if seeing fire causes fear to come upon you, a healing dream may show you walking through fire and coming out unsinged. The dream has shifted your outlook on fire and now you are no longer bound by it. We all have at least one template that needs to be shifted. God may bring your deliverance via a healing dream.

II. Cleansing

Cleansing dreams are the most common among all people. These types of dreams show the activity of the flesh that you were thinking during the day. Cleansing dreams come to heal the mind and act as a door of release. Without cleansing dreams you could literally have a nervous breakdown. This is a God given natural way to release the thoughts that we have voluntarilly processed through out the day or over a period of time. It's an exit mechanism to bring about healing in our mind. The bible says that we are to "let the same mind be in us that is also in Christ Jesus." God has equipped us with a mental flushing system that comes via cleansing dreams.

III. Garbage

The garbage dream is about nothing in particular. Its strictly garbage. Movies, books, radio, conversation that is negative. However, when you come to the Lord you may find yourself having plenty of garbage dreams because these things are being thrusted out of you. If you experience this, keep reading the word. As you do this, Prophetic dreams will begin to come forth.

IV. Prophetic Dreams

There are two types of Prophetic dreams:

A. Internal

Internal Prophetic(IP) dreams pertain to you and you alone. IP dreams display your current spiritual condition with the Lord. Every character in the dream relates to you, the character represents something that God is trying to reveal to you about you not about the character or person. For example, I may have a dream that shows me interacting with someone that I know in the natural. This person may be someone I know that has an extreme prayer life. They live, eat, and sleep prayer and when I am with that person that's all we talk about. I know nothing else about this person other than their prayer life is extremely deep. What is God saying to me? He is saying its time to step up my prayer life. That I need to intensify or broaden where I am in my prayer life or the types of prayers that I'm praying at the time. The IP pertains to the future. The dream has come to move you to prepare for it, notify you as warning or grant you prophetic insight about His will in the earth.

B. External

External Prophetic(EP) dreams do not use you as an active participant. This type of dream only happens to the Prophet. The dream pertains to the future. Any symbols or props in this dream are not who or what they are but what they represent. For example, I may have dream or a vision where I see an image of a church building that I have never seen before, and over top of the church there is a floating key. What is God saying? Because I know that a key reprents the prophetic, God could be telling me that he is about the release a Prophetic annointing upon His church at a greater measure in the comeing days. This dream had nothing to do with me alone but with the entire Body of Christ.

**When interpreting dreams you must always stay in control of who you are (culture, childhood, environment). Every person is unique. Always remember that the purpose of recieving Prophetic dreams is the build up the body by sharing what the Lord is saying during this season.

God Speaks Through Dreams and Visions

As I fellowship among the saints, one of the subjects that appears to be getting a lot of attention is the subject dreams, visions, and their interpretation. Since the beginning of time God has been speaking to the saints via dreams and visions. I know that throughout my lifetime I have had many dreams and at times woke up confused, scared or either enlightened by what I had experienced while sleeping. Out of all the ways that God could get you a message or answer your prayer why would he choose to use dreams and visions? Why would He speak to me and leave me wondering if my dream was from Heaven, Hell, or Earth? Was it last nights dinner? I've been reaching for years trying to figure out my dreams as well as others, and I'm quite sure that some of you have been and possibly still are in the same boat. My prayer is that within the next few blog post, I can help bring a little clarity on how to discern what God is speaking and if it's even Him.

I searched for you on the wall and I could not find you. Could you not watch saith the Lord. Why do you lay in depression fretting over your passed sins as if to deny the power of my sons blood. What your fretting over I dont even remember, for I have cancelled the blacksmith's abillity to condemn you over what the blood has washed away. For you have allowed your past to consumed you and hinder your abillity to move in the fullness of My power. My love for you abounds, its a consuming wave. Rise up and take your position back on the wall, for your life defines the liberty that I brought you. Forget what you did and the places at which I have seen you which are not pertaining to your purpose. REPENT and know that my return is inevitable, my desire is to find you in position and moving in the power at which I have cloaked you. Behold....I have given you a key....unlock the heavens so that my Kingdom may be established. For no man knoweth the hour at which the Son of Man will return. Let me find you on the wall for I have niched a place for your there that no else can fill, understand the power of your presence, for it has not gone un noticed.
